I was lucky, my trainer lived in the same city as I did. BOL to ya. Also my trainer went home every 2 weeks. Swift pays for the trainer to put you up in a hotel. So if you get one that wants you to stay in the truck I would ask for another trainer right away.

My mentor offered me a hotel room, but to be perfectly honest, I preferred staying in the truck to some seedy motel. It also let me get used to "living on the road" before being thrown out on my own - I could also go inside to b/s with other drivers rather than just sit in a room stuck with nothing but HBO if I was lucky 8) Of course, your personal mileage may vary....

I was out on the big wide open road, suffering the hardships of living out of a big rig, sleeping on the top bunk, eating out of a cooler or a truck stop for four days before I got to go home.
I've never been so well fed and gotten so much sleep since, well never.
