No driver, be he a local or a road man, should be getting in another driver's way. After all, an OTR driver needs to keep the wheels moving and a P&D driver needs to get to his next stop. Unfortunately, there's too many ignorant people in this industry who park in the fuel island, try to jump in line at a shipper/consignee, block the docks, etc. Because I'm hourly, I usually defer to a road driver because I know what he's going through out there. Hell, I did that job for 3+ years so I can walk a mile and then some in that man's shoes. The point is, we all need to be working together. The fact that you view local drivers in such manner suggests you're a part of the problem, not the solution.
