Although I am not new by definition as I do have a year of OTR/Line Haul experience under my belt. I do have a concern that I will have a hard time with getting back into the trucking industry because of the fact that my work experience since I have moved has been problimatic due to injuries while on the job.
If any one could suggest any ideas I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Dan

I would suggest that you call a few companies that you may have some interest in and talk to a recruiter and be honest and forthright....see what they have in the way of feedback or advice.

I have gotten in touch with a few companies, and will be following up with a phone call on Wednesday as I do not work then. I miss the road, I miss the travel, and I miss the time I had with my beloved pooches. I tried to get out, but it keeps calling me back!

When you eat, sleep, work, and find you miss the sound of your air brakes or the rumble of the reefer running. You're pretty much done for!

I've found that one out the hard way as well... I do remember being warned as much, but didn't heed the warning... now it's too late!

How is it that the lifestyle of a trucker can be so addictive? I just don't understand it. I don't think I have had any other profession where I was almost begging to get back into it...
Am I sick or what?

But through various posts and the few PMs you sent our way, this much is obvious; like your name implies... diesel is in you... It's never too late to resume living the life you were meant to dream... Sorry for the brief hijack... ops:
