See I KNEW there was a reason. I have QUITE a few posts on here when I was tired and they were "less than friendly" LOLOL. No harm done and I still "Love Ya". You ARE right when you say they may be able to handle things differently and I agree 100% with you. I'm still working on getting them to change how they handle declined applications.Have a safe, happy and healthy 2007 and DO keep in touch!

madii wrote regarding TMC recruiters,
Too bad in our experience they have snotty recruiters, who won't even attempt to tell you what you needed to do to get in, or why your app got denied...
I have to agree with madii on this one. When I was looking at companies 4-5 months ago I found the TMC recruiters to be misinformed, unhelpful and less than motivated in actually recruiting drivers. I guess they have so many drivers to pick from that they don't have to put any effort into their job. Please don't take this as a insult to TMC drivers, just their recruiters.

Hey guys! Congratulations to SIR CHARLES and knotreeltight!!
Now, here's the deal. The waiting list is not to get you into school, the school starts a new class every monday and Maverick is only a small part of the class. What the waiting list is for is that Maverick will only send so many people at a time to the school. Why? Because they only have a limited number of beds available in the Maverick provided housing. Maverick students stay off campus in their own housing. I didn't stay there myself, but i did go by there a few times. They have one or two (don't remember for sure) mobile homes set up over there...double wides, I think. They looked to be well kept and I'm told that Maverick is VERY strict about the students keeping the place clean and picked up so you shouldn't have to worry about getting into a mess with that. Just be sure to keep the place up while your there. I'm not sure how many they are sending up there at a time right now, but when I went through school, they were only sending 6 people a week. Maverick is looking for drivers, but not begging for drivers. They've just started this training program and intend to build it slowly but do it right and so far, they seem to be doing a good job of it. Now, here's your other option. If you were to go to TMC, it's my understanding that you would pay for your own schooling unlike the free ride you get with Maverick if you choose to wait for a spot . Personally, I was like knotreeltight, I was ready to go to work! So, I went to the same exact school as the Maverick students, took the same exact classes, but paid for it out of my pocket. It cost me just a little under $2,000 for school and a place to stay down there. There's no 6 month contract if you pay for your own schooling and there's no waiting list (you could start this Monday!). So, sure there's no waiting list at TMC's school, but their is a bill to be paid!  If your interested in doing it the way I did, shoot me a pm and I can give you some info that will help as far as housing (don't pay for the housing that the school sells ya...it's over priced and you'll be in a 2 room apt with 3 other people). The school that Maverick sends you to is Arkansas State University @ Newport. Here's their website: http://www.asun.edu/ACDTI/ That website used to be much more informative, looks they've updated it, maybe their still adding to it. ** Also** keep in mind that you might be eligible for some type of financial aid if you choose to pay your own way. If your out of work, your local employment agency may very possibly pay for your training. research your options here folks! There are ways around these waiting lists if your determined .Good Luck!
