I was given a 2002 Freightliner,8 Speed with 740,000 miles,This was done by design,An old truck with lots of miles................................
REASON,They will rotate me out of this Truck faster,Because of the higher miles ?????????????????Who knows............. Truck looks OK !!!! And after my son finished with it ..... Did a detail inside and out .......... 50.00 Installed new carpet from the the Remnants Warehouse Carpet and labor........... 42.00 New AM/FM CD 149.00 Serious Satelite 99.00 New Galaxy CB 159.00 Flat Screen TV/DVD 349.00 Cooler with AC/DC 79.00 Misc lights,3-1 Cig lighter adapter..........Etc 50.00 Motor Carriers Atlas 59.00 Truck stop guide 12.95 Coffee machine 24.95 AND LASTLY ...................... BEING A SOLO DRIVER PRICELESS...................................

Congrats to you!
While every driver will give you a different opinion, I always loved my Swift Columbias.... 2002 and 2005 being the best model years in my opinion :wink: Think of it this way, a higher mileage tractor has been out there *working*, not constantly broken down in the shop. Swift used to trade their tractors in at approx 500,000 miles, but lately they've been hanging onto them longer, and in some cases, even purchasing back some of the old tractors that didn't sell in auction at Freightliner. Enjoy it while you have it, the Volvos still have a good many electrical bugs everyone is trying to get worked out :wink:
