And now you're down to part of our problem. We were not involved in a church for any of that time (except for a "mega church" for a small amount of that time) and have no one in either field that even knows us, much less can verify that he was at home. We were in 2 different cities for that length of time, and don't have contact info for anybody else who could verify the whole time, except a few personal friends.

We have been talking to Passmore as well, and seem to have more willingness to work with us coming from them. It is from them we found out that its a DOT reg for them to verify at least 3 years. They have stated 3 personal references (non-family) would be acceptable as long as they're notorized, so that is what we are working on. Once we receive those letters we plan on submitting them along with another app to TMC as well.

He does have a pre-hire from TransAm now, so its there to fall back on if nothing else. He would prefer to go flatbed though.

Thanks for everybody's suggestions, I will keep you posted if anybody is interested.

I think I found who you're talking about, out of Amarillo? Not much info on the site if I have the right one. Any information or should I just try the 800 number in the morning? The only real info I can find on the site I found is this:

Currently JBK is hiring Drivers. If you are a Owner Operator or Company Driver and want to work with a competitive and great company, please request more information by calling 1(800)225-5525 x1713 or by email.

Small update, called Maverick again, and was informed they "never received" his application. The recruiter I spoke with recommended turning another application in online, so we did. Called back to verifty they received it and was told they did Was informed they should know an answer by Friday, and was also told that his time as a stay at home dad shouldn't be a problem (now, this was just from the recruiter so we will see).
Yoopr, I will be calling Kelley before long here, so we'll see what they have to say as well.

I thought I might resurrect this thread and use it as updates for right now.
Yoopr, Jack Kelley requires experience (6 months), at least thats what I was told, Melton requires experience also (3 months).
Every flatbed company that we feel will give proper load securement/tarping training has turned him down. We are at the point financially that we can't wait for another slew of applications to be processed due to bills piling up.
Therefore, he is going to go with TransAm. I think I may start another thread and do somewhat of a journal/diary, since the info on TransAm is rather scarce it seems on here. So far so good, he leaves on the bus early Sunday morning to be there for a Monday start for orientation. They've promised they verified everything before orientation, so hopefully there will be no snags.

Maybe I went to the wrong website, but last time I looked into them they require minimum of 2 years OTR experience.
