Wow your good with your mile markers, I'm not so good south of Nelson I don't go down there often enough.
An old timer friend of mine actually gave me sh*t for not coming up the hill in the south bound lane. Said he does everytime and has never spun out with his super b. The way this hill is, itd be a friggin death wish to do that. This is the hill in question, would you come up the other side?! ![]()

I do not climb hills on the wrong side, and I don't like it when others do this! I will admit that I have passed spunout trucks on hills like army, because I was hooked up, and I knew I would make it easy. You know the Sikani, well in the winter I work "alot" I've gone down (north) @ 4am only to see 2 super b m/t fuels side by side (one guy got 20 ft further) and a C.F. b train along my guardrail ? Just enough room to "slither" between them all. It's alot more professional to throw a set or two on and be done with it! They can back on to their chains, but they are too light on the drives to pick it up. Idiots !! I've shut er down on the Alaska just cause, IF it's that bad, that I need chains for anything other than a hill, the chances of a 4 wheeler getting into me is enough to wait for the plow/sander. EVERY work truck around here drives like someone is shooting at them! Again I'm talking too much... save some for another time  You know the 126 hill L.N. the one that is blasted out of the rock. About 1.5 hr's from me. I took a picture this morning... I will post it after my shower & beverage

I am amongst the lowest paid drivers on this highway. I stay (for now) because I have an excellent, excellent boss here. When hes gone, I'm gone, as well as most of the rest of us working for him. He's talking about moving South in the Spring to retire, it will almost be a relief to be able to feel good about going somewhere else. I get job offers every week.
I will start takin more pics, that reminds me, if I can find my damnnnn camera cable I have a couple to put up.

More on winter driving....
We have a truck as I type this, on its side just over an hour North of Fort Nelson. (COLT, its on the straight stretch, passing lane, between Tetsa 1 & 2 bridges). My truck with my co-worker (his truck broken) calls back to the other guy (my bosses son) "there is a silver Volvo coming at you, will be over in your lane hogging the road" (this is a narrow, narrow road) Yea, he was in the middle of the road all right, and ran our truck into the bank, it pulled him right in. Normally here, in the summer we see all kinds of 'foreigners' meaning...american trucks that we don't know. In the winter, they simply just aren't there. THIS winter, they ARE! Someone from Florida spun out on the south side of Summit Lake a few days ago... THEY DIDNT KNOW HOW TO CHAIN! The guy I spun out beside, was from ARIZONA! He spent the night on the hill! Hello...why are companies sending these guys up here, do they think its just a cake walk up here? I have had no less than 6 'foreigner' (not regulars)american trucks come at me across the yellow line in the past week and a half. Half the time you can even SEE the yellow line through the snow but they are scared of getting too close to the bank. My co-worker would have hit him had he not rode the bank. This is getting infuriating! I head a rumour, this is something to do with some new WalMart contracts? Maybe some new stores open? At any rate, people, don't come up here unless you're comfortable on our playground, and even better, run several trips in the summertime before you show up when its white! Rant complete.

Heres a couple. My first and only chain up job, so proud I had to take pics. I wish I could have got a pic of the trucks side by side half way up but there wwas just too much of a rush to get the heck out of the way. (as it happened, not one vehicle went by us while we were there lol)

I took that pic this morn, that hill is a hard pull, I put a second set on, I needed them. I don't know if the pic shows how hard the pull is? Over 100,000 lbs Gross, Whatever, easy trip. I'd like to show you "tow tractor" roads
