I could attach the hammock under the trailer and sleep there. I could hook it to two adjacent trees, use your imagination. I plan on not sleeping all the time at truck stops so this would be kind of like camping out. Please chime in and tell me what you think..... The hammocks set up in about 5 minutes.

I've been thinking of the hammock for quite some time now. I, personally, have little trouble sleeping in a moving truck, but I keep getting team co-drivers who whine all the time!
Why not mount the hammock over (or in place of) the lower bunk in a condo type cab?? Seems to ME, that this would be an excellent way for someone to sleep INSIDE the cab (not UNDER IT) without feeling vibrations, ESPECIALLY while the truck is moving!? Everytime the driver hits the brakes, the hammock would "swing" a bit. Talk about "rocking the baby" to sleep! This is a no-brainer, IMHO.... ALL sleeper cabs (especially for TEAM operations,) should be equipped with a hammock in place of a stationary BUNK!! They can easily be "anchored" to the opposing walls, and "stabilized" if necessary to the rear wall.

1) Have you tried the hammock inside a moving truck?
2) The way to get rid of vibrations is to balance the wheels, use superwides instead of duals and/or use non-lug type tyres. Also, upgrade to an aftermarket harmonic balancer. Then, the next step, the first step really, is to eliminate ALL of the noise. I don't see how anyone can sleep like that.

JD- I think you have management potential. The big outfits like Swift and Schneider and others are always looking to cut costs. If they go for your idea they don't need to buy rigs with sleepers anymore. Just hang this thing under the trailer, in winter get get a sleeping bag and pass along a pay raise of a penny a mile. WAMO you are the new Vice President of Cost Containment. Good Job! Dude. Bill
