Arteisa Blvd in LA west of Valley View Blvd will get you a $1 per pound over 8,000 pounds for the rated tonnage of the truck. So Bob tailing will still get you a $72,000 ticket. :shock:

I run into this crap all the time. Most cops will get ya out of there or something along those lines. Of course, its my job to get in and out of neighborhoods They usually never mess with moving vans, and with good reason. A 3000lb weight limit (even if it were tons = 6000lbs) that woul;d barely support a Ford Excursion. Some county municipalities are crooked.

My brother got fined for $16,000. for being 52,000 overweight with a lo-boy and a Cat excavator in PA. We tried to move it on a Saturday with no permit. Went to court and got it reduced to $3,000.
