I have an Audiovox and my girlfriend has an LG.
She gets better service, less dropped calls, Longer battery life basically just an overall better quality phone. I would not recommend audiovox to ANY ONE. My friend and Mom have the same exact audiovox phone as I do and they have NOTHING but problems with them as well. I do not really feel that all phones are created equally like someone above had said.

Only problem being is that the Army has a Piece of equipment called "Warlock" that Jams all electronic signals :P I think the guys/woman in Baghdad who got them worked there on OCCASION. I use motorola, they do well when it comes to reception. I have cingular, theyre not great, but i get service just about everywhere... the only place when i was really having trouble was when sitting at the TA in Cheyenne, NE.

Well sure Motorola is a winner by far , just a quick fact they invented the first transistor for production, they also manufacture more than just transistors, they are the leader in electronic in the world today of technology, open your LG phone and find motorola parts inside....like I said before its not the phone but service that counts, some phones might be a design that others don't use so battery life or output power might be different, but the rest is all the same....now for service you should ask in a poll who do you use, I am on Verizon, my brother is Cingular , we both have no problems at all, but the pioneer in wireless phone service is Sprint, they own all the towers across the USA and the rest of the companies pay them to access them. so I would say Sprint has the best network so I am soon going to get a Nextel Phone and service. I know Verizon has been spreading themselves around as well, thats why the cell towers get more and more antennas... several companies on one tower or they share or also none as roaming.....they use another service and charge you for roaming but soon them days well be over......Sprint has also been a leader in fibre optics which I would say they are ahead of everyone else in the landline services....most land base phone calls use the sprint fibre optic line anyway even though you use ATT that long distance charge you get is to pay sprint for the use of there network.... so really it all comes down to service and who you choose, most towns only have a few providers and some have 20 or more little companies, like Cellone, so it all goes to show they all share or buy time from someone else, might as well go to the top....Nextel I say with sprint will take over, besides the Walkie talkie feature is what I want....I can talk to my wife whenever and not be charged for a phone call...technology is changing everyday so just wait and then the choices are easier to make.. you will still be behind but not that far....
