The resume switch on the cruise control sets the high idle or you can use the + button, and that question made me realize my error in my last post. The truck idles at 600, but high idles at 700 not to shutdown.

I remember the windshield wash spraying the mirror too. A small issue to me. Just a reminder to fully scrub and clean them everyday. :P

Uhm...don't trust that guage because it isn't accurate. I've drove on several occasions when that guage indicated that I was empty. But then again, I've drove over a hundred miles several times when the regular fuel guaged indicated I was also empty too.

The volvo I have does not have an opti-idle feature, but it will run all night without shutting itself off, I can increase the idle a bit by turning on the cruise control and pressing the - button on the side and it will increase the idle a bit to get the heat flow going faster for me. Hope this answers your question.

Gunstra; thanks for the response. I knew there was some switch on Freightliners that opti-idle. Volvos have it in the cruise control. Go safely; see you on the big road!

hahaha
No doubt. I don't mind cleaning them everyday though, I'm just anal about having crystal clean mirrors, so I won't use the squirter unless I'm going super slow, then it won't spray the mirror.

I'm trying to figure out what I could do to block the spray from the mirror without causing another problem... where's Red Green when you need him?
