my dad
please say a prayer for my dad and my family. my dad has had a hard time remembering things and seems to be having some depression issues. they went to the neurologist today. the doctor told him that he had to stop working due to his problems remembering things. the doctor is going to increase his medication to help with his memory. until now, my mom didn't tell me what he was taking. he is taking aricept. aricept is used to help improve memory and slow down the symptoms of alzheimer's.
as you know, times are hard and you are lucky if you have a job. my parents are going to take a trip to the philippines in feb. and my mom tells me this might be his last trip. i am hoping that what my dad has aren't the early signs of alzheimer's, but the doctor says his memory won't improve. all the doctor can say is that he has a form of dementia, but nothing more specific. thank you in advance.

my dad is so-so. he is very depressed, that much i do know. hopefully this trip away will help his spirits.

It's so easy to get depressed when you know something might be wrong. I hope the trip does him a ton of good.
