Default My husband hasn't eaten in 36 hours

Day 2 training Trans Am. I am really pissed off and there's nothing I can do. My husband started with his trainer yesterday. The trainer has all his own food and has not offered to stop somewhere where my husband can get something to eat. When they stop at a terminal the trainer gets his own food, takes it to the microwave and eats and leaves my husband in the truck. He told my husband he would stop at the next Walmart so my husband could get some food. He has no food, no water and has not been offered any by his trainer or been given the opportunity to go to a truck stop or somewhere he can get food or drink. What should he do? I need an answer fast!

Have him contact the terminal immediately and explain to a terminal supervisor what the situation is and then request a new trainer. Whether or not is was poor planning on your husband's part regarding food and water, there is absolutely no reason for the trainer's behavior. And why would your husband stay in the truck at a terminal? I don't get that one at all.

Default food and water

I packed my husband snacky foods for light breakfasts and snacks. He's been in Dallas since Sunday, so needless to say, that food is pretty much gone. They didn't tell us to bring food for the trip. They sent us a list of what to bring and food and drink was not on it, I just packed it anyway. I told my husband (who doesn't want to rock the boat) to tell the trainer "I need to get something to eat!" I told him to call Trans Am immediately, he said he's going to see what happens tonight. I told him to Speak up! This is Bullsh!T!

I'd give that trainer a swift kick in the hind end. There's no call for that!
Just as Twilight Flyer said, I would call a supervisor, or the safety director, and tell them that this trainer isnt allowing your husband to eat.

So, he's going to wait and see what happens tonight? That's stupid.

If he truly hasn't had anything to eat or drink for 36 hours, he's running health risks that are potentially fatal. If he doesn't have the spine to stand up to his trainer to get a bloody bite to eat, then he has no business being in the industry. That's not being mean...that's just being honest.

Ditto and the Scummy so-called trainer can't share what he has until they re-stock?

That's just un-called for. He needs to have his bell rung.

Default Still waiting...

My husband has spoken up. Several times. The trainer keeps saying "we'll stop later", later hasn't come. And what's up with no coffee in the morning? This guy didn't even stop for coffee! Now my husband has a migraine AND he's starving. Totally unsafe. I called Trans Am myself and talked to his recruiter. He didn't want me to call, but something has to be done. He has his phone off now while he's driving, but I just left him a message to ask for a new trainer when he gets to the terminal. I don't mean to be bossy, but I'm here and he's out there stranded with some trainer who obviously could care less about anyone but himself! p.s. I'm sure my husband is gonna be pissed when he finds out I called TransAM.

Be better if your husband would have asked but seeing you already called I wish him the best of luck.

If he has had nothing to drink for 36 hours, a migraine is an extremely serious sign. It can be an indication that the body is beginning to shut down. You can live without food for days as long as you have water. Lack of water will kill you and usually in less than 48 hours.

I'm having a hard time figuring out who's more stupid here. Your husband for silently accepting the treatment or the trainer, who could very easily wind up with charges against him, should something bad happen.

Again, I'll stress that if he has TRULY had nothing to drink for 36 hours, he runs the risk of dying. Period. A few drinks here and there would be enough to remedy the situation, but if he has gone without that whole time, well....
