And that helps answer my question.

Thanks.

Doc-Hourly rate of pay....well gee that is simple you run 10 hours a day....go 500 miles....get paid .38 cpm (rough guesstamate) which equals $190.00...divided by the 10 hours = $19.00 an hour. Pretty simple to figure that. Now if you want to go weekly....you run 500 miles a day for 7 days = 3500 miles * .38 = $1330.00 week. Now if we take the 40 hour work week rule, that is $19.00 for the first 2000 miles or $760.00 and unfortunately due to the fact that you are not union and therefore don't get time and half for the ot = you will still make $19.00 an hour on the remaining 30 hours you work.

Go find an hourly job that pays $19.00 that allows you to do something that you enjoy doing.

Well actually beetle you dont have to be union to get overtime in the dump truck industry. If they pay by the hr and do not cross state lines or are licensed in another state by federal wage and hr laws they must pay overtime. Trust me I know this. I turned in a company to wage and hrs division who refused to pay ot. Guess what they had to pay back pay for 2 years.

OK smart ass I make 22.75 plus OT and it is something I like doing and I'm home every night instead of sleeping in some shit hole of a truck stop so if you have had your fill of stupid nonsense and imagining that everyone wants to be paid less per mile for "BOOK" (read as fictitious miles)...
Plus, I'll give you something to pick on!!!
