THIS IS SERIOUS.
I have recently heard about a proposed bill to congress that WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL EXTRA PAY TYPES: LAYOVER, UNLOAD, DETENTION, etc.
PLEASE GOOGLE AND RESPOND.
My computer is too *(&()*&)*(& slow for me to investigate this for myself, but this is too important to let pass!
Has anyone else heard of this??? It's something to do with an AIR FREIGHT BILL, but it's one of those slidey a()* things they try to sneak past the voting public. PLEASE google this and let me know what you find.
Why try to take the extras???? Why take away the pay for someone who has to sit for a load???? Why take pay away from someone who has to WAIT until the receiver decides to take the freight????
Please post here about what you find! I'm amazed at how the people who are SUPPOSED TO BE REPRESENTING US are so very willing to do this type of stuff!!!

I don't believe that is the correct number of the bill. I tried doing a search and it said the bill did not exist. Perhaps there are more numbers? I do remember reading something about a bill about standardizing pay. I did not have time to read the article.

After the underwhelming response this news has received, I feel vaguely "alarmist". I mean, the sports section got more play!
Maybe everyone (except me) knows that the OOIDA will kick their...tricks...in the mud, AGAIN!!! That's what I'm holdin' the space open for!
