Temperatures are a little higher in the south today. Nashville, TN was clogged up yesterday when an 18 wheeler wrecked and shut down I-40 near downtown. Traffic was shut down for several hours. I think they had more snow over night, but have not heard anything about the roads. Monteagle on I-24 between Nashville and Chattanooga is open, but anyone traveling over the mountain should be very careful. Chattanooga has some ice and authorities are advising people to stay off roads, especially secondary roads. Interstate traffic seems to be moving well on I-24 and I-75. It is about the same in north Georgia. There have been reports of 2-3 feet of snow on the east coast. But, things are heating up in the midwest, at least in Iowa due to the hot air from all the politicians.

It's finally broken though to sunny, in Ohio...still cold as a witch's tit, though!

Dang...hearing that Georgia (my heart's "wish" state) is experiencing lousy weather does NOTHING for my plans for relocation!!!

Be safe out there..

Hog, it was pretty bad here during that blizzard! Within minutes of a plow train making a pass, road had several inches on it again. They lost all the roads very fast, so fast that they pulled the trucks and put loaders, dozers and backhoes out there. We got between 24-32" with drifts at 4-6', it was quite difficult to get an accurate reading with the blowing snow.

Well according to our president Obongo, this climate change is our greatest existential threat.

Maybe so, because you southerners wouldn't last one day where I live.

You are probably right, Roadhog. I prefer warmth to cold. I have never liked cold weather, hence I live in GOD's country, the South.
