Gadzooks... brings back memories of my gall bladder, when it went. I was driving and felt like I had the flu, so I toughed it out, but finally got so sick I was moaning with each breath, by the time I went to my Doc, they sent me straight to the ER. Said i would have been dead in 24hrs. had I not come in, when I did. Mine was infected and filled with gall stones, and all my organs hardened up from infection. I recovered within a month and was back to driving for aboot another 5 years after that.
I'm stable now, but slowing down, and spend more time at home, than I would like. I also now have spinal stenosis to deal with, but that too is okay for now, so anyway... all I can say is getting old ain't for sissy's...<< can't say *****'s.
So... now that you are a grumpy Grandpa, is it true, you can suck some youth off a grand babies head? Does it get you kinda high the first time? God Bless you and your grand baby hope your wife is well too, and Happy Easter!
I'm going to try to go oot&aboot, eh (out in a boat) perch fishing soon. Ice is off the lake now. Still have some snow to melt before I try to get my boat out of the Barn from winter storage... but the perch are biting like crazy, if you are nuts enough to go out on the lake after them. I have a friend who's been getting some great catches, and I'm jealous. I am going to try getting myself out there this week.
I have a 60' spruce tree that almost got blown over in the last wind storm. We get these 50-70mph winds during season shifts in March and November. I need to top this tree, before it drops and does a lot of damage. Another 50+mph winds coming in 6 more days, so i have to deal with that tree in the next few days. In my younger days I would take this tree down myself. This is the part of getting old that really sucks. Well... I guess if Shania were watching me, I'd go chop that tree down bare chested with an ax.
