what do you guys do for fun? right now this is a crazy time of the year. i'm in the process of having my 87 buick grand national painted and going for my drag racing license (super comp and ET for those who are in to it). with the licnese i will be getting it in my brothers VW GTI. its not what ya'll think its the real deal. it puts down about 700 hp to the front wheels. he needs a back up driver for some of the bigger races if he cant make it so.. in i go! for the super comp license, i'll be getting that in my dad's super comp dragster.

as for the buick.. i've had her since july 3rd 2001. (80242.8 miles on it when i picked it up). its a super late build 87, only missing 3 options to be totally optioned out. by all means. it is NOT a show car or ever will. she is a driver. as long as there is no snow.. i'll drive it. and race it. bolt the tires on at the house, go to the track and drive it home.

I work around the house. Sometimes it's landscaping, maybe do some firewood or building bookshelves. I just hang round the house mainly.

 

it wont look anything different from any other grand national. i'm not in to the flashy paint jobs or anything. I put the car in to the "sleeper" class. I roll around on a small tire, my ac still works (lost my r12 though )the only thing i'm doing is GNX wheels. but pics will be posted. i'm very proud of my car.

I'm always busy with something, if it's not working around the house (built 1920s) it's in the garage on one of my projects. Or I can be found at our cabin (still in progress) working on it and in between that I try to fit in some range time,boolit casting, and reloading. Toss in some camping, hunting a little hiking and maybe I'll even have some time to go hunting.

In the summer - camping. Well, I will as soon as I get my camper put back together. That's what I plan on doing through the Memorial Day weekend.

 

A worthy endevor! i have a few of those pesky lil devils hanging around here, they seem to like the cold darkness of the lower shelf of my fridge but seem to also like my front porch in the winter. Maybe you should drop by some time and give me a hand.

 

Then we can post pictures of our "catch" of empties next to a sun-perch and put ole Roadhog and his constant bragging to shame!

BTW... you might look for me this time next year. If Belpre continues to offer tickets to the INDY 500, I'm thinking of taking a road trip next year! How far are you from Indy? More importantly.... how far are you from that 3 ft of SNOW NY just got?
