Default Hometime..

Not sure why I thought of this, but I have a question, and would be interested in knowing...

How often does everyone get home?

and..

Do you prefer to stay out a long time?

I'm usually home every weekend, this isn't one of them. I'll be in El Paso. (Might have to buy some new boots! ) I don't like being out long, after about 10 days my road rage and my knee start acting up.

I'm generally out 6-8 weeks. I occassionally get through home for a 34.. and sometimes even for a night. Then, after that long out I tend to only take 4-5 days off as I get antsy around the house. Xmas time though I generally take the whole week off with the weekend on each end. I don't like it but thats at the request of my girlfriend. I guess I can accomodate that one request since the rest of the year she lets me run how I wish. lol.

I'm at home every Friday and usually leave out Sunday evening, sometimes Monday morning, depending on my load.

Well I used to stay out about 3-4 weeks then home for about 3-4days that seemed to be the most profitable and still get decent home time. Now I'm home every day, but seem to put in more hours than I did doing the OTR thing!

I get 34-36 hours at home each week. I get home Saturday night (maybe before midnight, if I'm lucky), and leave around noon or a hair later on Mondays.

I heard a couple of guys talking the other night and one of them said that he'd been out for like 6 weeks and he was from somewhere in South Carolina. I thought, dang..that's a long time from being home.
It made me wonder about everyone here...

A lot of people either don't have family at home or they do have family, but don't want to see them.
