Hm, that's interesting, though it looks like it's still a concept car. I wouldn't be surprised if the looks got toned down for the market. Gull-wing doors are pretty extreme for anything that's not a DeLorean.

Why not just buy a Harley?
This thing is going to weigh less than a Hog, and cost as much as a Rolls Royce.... not to mention it looks spacktarded and gay.... I wouldn't be caught dead in this POS.

Just buy a golf cart... pffft. You can get one that looks like a Rolls Royce.

Whew, for a second there I thought it was the new all electric Honda until the vid pic came up.

Clee, Mercedes has made the doors work quite well with the SLS. Maybe it's because of the ridiculous engine that's in it, it takes away from the doors rising up.

Until the prices come down and reliability goes up, forget it, these vehicles will be few and far between. The parts are astronomical and some parts are only expected to last 5-7 years if your lucky. In the long run you'd be better off buying a regular vehicle and going on down the road, costs you less overall. Hybrids are the way to go until the all electric vehicles figure out how to do more than 100 miles on a single charge with everything being used in it(radio, AC, headlights, etc.) They also need to be quicker re-charging, MUCH quicker. The new Honda people are clamoring about today talks of going over 100 mpg........for the brainiacs, it's all electric which means a mpg rating is useless. In reality it only goes 82 miles on a full charge IF you don't thrash about in it or use the radio or use the wipers or use the headlights or use the heat/AC. Once you run out of power it takes about 8-10 hours for a full re-charge to do another 82 miles.

I bought this for much less than a Hybred, and it gets 38 mpg. The Hybreds get around 55 mpg.

Back in the 80's I had a Nissan Sentra that got 55 mpg on the highway. Seems we are not even keeping up with the past.

I guess we now social engineer our cars, .... like the Fiskers on American tax payer money. Too much politics interfering with progress.
We need to get all the phuquewads out of the way, and get back to common sense.

Then the doors to technology can be open again.

I had a 1990 Honda Civic 3 dr hatch that got me 41 mpg on the highway and 36-38 city. Today we are considering 40+ mpg a godsend........where did we go wrong?

First of all your honda probably had about 10-20X as many NOx emmissions as a newer hybrid. Second it was also much smaller, those things were tin cans. Third they also had very little safety equipment.

The cars of 20-30 years ago that go great mileage also didn't have a 200+ hp 4 cylinder. Why do people think they have to have that much power, then complain about bad fuel mileage? I had a 1981 Buick Skylark (4 door car) with the 2.8l v6. I was delivering pizza at the time and got well over 20mpg running it hard in town.

tin can?.... cof-bs
My old Nissan Sentra got 40+mpg city and 55 mpg hiway....and you know what... it was just as big as this Honda Civic in the photo.
Difference is, the Sentra was a manual, and this Civic is automatic. I think the manual Civic gets a few miles better per gallon.

As far as safety improvements, thank God we're getting something for the car costing so $#@&~ much...these days.
I think I paid about 5k for the Sentra. I could buy 5 of them now, for what the Civic cost.
My wages back then were about the same. I was making $25/ hr. as a carpenter.

Missus "Kev, go to the supermarket for me please"
Wot "It's half mile at least to go there! I want something"
Missus(Provocatively)"Anything you LIKE darling"
Wot "Thanks my love, I'll have eight pints of Stella"
