Anybody see the tv show shipping wars yet?? It follows guys around that ship stuff off USHIP. There is only 1 guy on the show with a class 8 rig. Its a t-600 with a 48ft step. The rest are guys wioth 1ton pick-ups. You should see the rates they haul for. Talk about lowballing. You got to wacth it.

 

It's a cut-throat world out there in any line of work these days. Fools will cut their own throats without hesitation. It's no wonder nobody can make a buck, not when someone else undercuts you and only makes a nickel off it. It's maddening.

No, I have not watched the show, saw some of the highlights in ad spots for it on TV. They will give anyone a show these days for anything which is why I do not watch any of them anymore.

 

Well, the guys that are on TV get more than just what they make per mile. They also get paid for being on television. Just like "Pawn Stars", "American Pickers", "American Restorations", and all the newcomers. So, they probably figure that they can afford to haul cheaper. But, that doesn't do the rest of you any good. It's another way that the industry is misrepresented.
