Whoa! That was cool and scary at the same time. I would still rather watch a band of live humans play. But that was some pretty bad-ass animation. I wonder if the fretting and picking was accurate?

Somebody mentioning Zappa got me searching. The video is strange but the sound is good. It's from their 1971 Live at the Fillmore East album.
