more of the Sensai of karate guitar!
![]() I am having fun checking out more youtube of Mr.Fastfinger, now that I know who he is. I put his name Mika Tyyska in the search and found more cool stuff. I had forgotten about him long ago, after I did a bunch of his lessons. Back then, I had a yellow Nextel cell phone, the size of a brick. His Mr.Fastfinger lessons were so cool, at the time. It was interactive, like Magic Carpet Tour. You chose a mode like Phrygian, then play the game. You rode the magic carpet, and had to avoid obstacles, to get to a magic circle you had to land on, to receive the new lessons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6xMgYv6rhU&feature=player_embedded

back in '06, I fell in love with Amadeus' "Cannon in D" when a guitarist named Jerry C came up with this guitar arrangement.
Saw it played by several guitarists on youtube, and got the sheet music, to really dig into this song myself. I came across Mattrach back then, in his first version in '06 when he was like 15 years old. His video had about 1000 views then. That video is over 18 million views right now. This is his second version he did about a year later. I've followed this guys career ever since. He's 21 now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wam-oMub8EU&feature=relmfu

I'd still have to work on my manners... .... and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36R6JU-SL8U&list=UUacY6C1c_0tBGGkyCNciDSQ&index=1&feature=plcp

I think Shania wrote this song, when she noticed me hiding in her front junipers... even in the rain.
She use to look out at me being chased off everyday, by the security dogs, with those big binoculars... But each day, I was there, dispute that summer that had a bumper crop of gnats... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S88Wit5bNdY

Frank Zappa makes any day better. He was really something else.
I've not been impressed by any of the Aristocrats' stuff I heard. It's technically impressive, of course, but beyond that nothing sticks with me. The young lady played those notes very well, though she will need time to develop some strength and attack. MattRach's tone was not for me - too piercing - but he certainly can play, and he gets bonus points for using a Tele. I think I've made it through two Shania tunes in my life, and this wasn't one of them :P She is very talented, but, man, her songs don't do anything for me.
