NO! The only thing I relate race to is Rap music. Even then their are so many other "races" in it, it's becoming inconsequencial.

No. I think of snake oil salesmen. The media wants us to think of race. So they keep this crap alive. They want us to believe the repubs are for big business and the demons are for the working man. Well, not my FIRST thought... and not automatically. But, you can't deny that race isn't PART of the opposing ideals of the two parties.

But... WHY do you ask?

I WILL say, subject to your further explanation, that I believe it is an underlying current in SOME of the opposition to our current president and the Dem party.

I've never asked, but are YOU black? Or do you just like to use Super Fly as your avatar? [You don't have to answer.]

Personally, I think the division between the parties is more "haves and have-nots." But, of course.... that brings in some of the race issue.

Well, I'm not going to say that it is "okay" that you are (or have been called) racist. But, I will say that I understand how and/or why you might feel that way.

But, I DO appreciate your HONESTY in stating what many of us already know. Americans want to THINK that we are beyond the OVERT racism of the 20th century.... but we are at times subject to a more COVERT feeling that is part of our heritage.

Yes, I KNEW that. Had to get my glasses out LAST time you were on the board, but I figured out it was Pryor. Can't remember the name of that movie.... but, I saw it. LOVE Pryor!

But, If I'm not mistaken... he was "paroding" the Super fly character.
