Now, she's pushing for relief for the taxpayers. A little late, isn't it?

You should read the the bill, or get as far as possible until you puke.
One of the things proposed is a "bank tax". Now we already have the banks taxed as corporations, the employees paying income tax, and all interest and dividends earned being taxed as interest and dividends earned.
Now I am not sure what is left to tax at the banks, but I am fairly certain that whatever it is will just be made up for by higher fees and interest on loans and credit cards.
Of course, now that I have criticized a new tax the VP will call me a smart ass.

He's all broke up over Sen. Byrd dying last night. Maybe now that Byrd and Kennedy are both gone, the senate can actually do something productive.

 

what gets me scratching my head about the democratic party is their willingness to ignore the fact that byrd was a klan member. there are also videos of byrd calling blacks the "n" word, and yet, republicans are labeled as racists by the likes of al sharpton and jesse jackson, and a good chunk of that party. the double standard that only applies to democraps.

as for my feelings toward "sheets" byrd- GOOD RIDDANCE!

This Democratic controlled govt. is running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. They have no idea what they are supposed to be doing and Obama is too busy playing POTUS or golf to pull everyone under control. They want one thing then they turn around a few months later and decide that wasn't a smart move so they want to go the opposite way now. They then blame Bush or the Repubs for everything falling apart. The Repubs wanted the opposite and you Dems went the other way originally, now your backtracking and following what the Repubs wanted to begin with yet they were wrong and it's all their fault now? Obama has replaced John Kerry as the king of FLIP-FLOP. He can never make up his mind and stick with that decision. Unfortunately that has trickled down thru his own party. It's disgusting, make a decision and stick with it, if you chose wrong then we all must live with that. Stop going back in hindsight and trying to undo what you just did, you look like a bunch of amatuers playing a govt. official.
