now i'm currently at sky harbor int'l airport waiting for my 1900 flight to albuquerque where a crew i'll be working with will pick me up. they're flying me out on their dime and all hotel stays are on theirs.
as for knight, i left them on good terms. i don't ever want to go back to the coolie side of trucking. when they asked what i was going off to do, the safety man's jaw dropped, scratched his head, and said, "holy ****! ---k yeah, man!" it's not everyday you hear a prim and proper mormon openly say that aloud. malaki- it appears i'll mostly be hauling the bases and turbine generators, and also taking part in their on-site installation. it's not just driving. there'll also be quite a bit of manual labor in all types of weather. i saw pictures today at their office in phoenix where crews were working in knee deep snow in upstate new york. this company also has arrangements in british columbia, alberta, nova scotia, and new brunswick. i stopped working for swift over a year ago, hired on with knight a year and two weeks ago, and now i drive for a specialized company that deals with wind turbines. oh, and it's ALLLLLLLL hourly pay. teh driving part is $25 per hour. when i'm at the job site, the pay becomes $40 per hour, and i WILL NO LONGER be confined to the multi-axle jail cell. 10hr breaks will be done inside of a hotel.
SCREW ALL THE COOLIE CARRIERS! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! one more thing, i was offered the job right on the spot. my squeaky clean, clean cut self, MVR and work history, according to the hiring manager, spoke for itself. the day ended with even more icing on the cake: the lakers beat the celtics! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

They're building a lot of those in West Virginia as well. I got stuck waiting at the top of a mountain while they brought a blade up. It took almost 2 hours for them to take it the 5 miles up the mountain. Hope you don't have to drive much of that kind of stuff.
BOL to you, and again, congrats.
