Default The Revolution Has Begun

Oliverio Win's Democratic Nomination, Beating Longtime Incumbent Alan Mollohan - WBOY-TV - WBOY.com

The 28 year congressman has lost in the primary election. What's really interesting is the postings after the story. They mainly say the same thing: He should've listened to the people and voted on what THEY wanted, not what OBAMA wanted.

Heh - that story's making national news now:

National Fallout From Mollohan's Congressional Loss - WBOY-TV - WBOY.com

"That was goal number one for all of us: to see Mollohan be fired, basically, because he refused to listen to our bosses, which are the voters of WV," said Tea Party Organizer Barry Bledsoe.
"What happened to Mollohan is an indication of what will happen nationwide. I think incumbents, just like Mollohan, who listened to Pelosi, or Harry Reid, or Obama, instead of their own voters, are headed out the door", said Bledsoe.

O.K..... I'm confused. So these were DEMOCRATIC teabaggers???

I don't have ANY problem with "cleansing" the Congress of "most" incumbents.

But, this is a change of Dem nominee in a battle this fall with an unkown Republican. (AND this Dem tea party is fired up and going to VOTE!)

How is this going to "change" things in West Viginia.... let alone Washington?

I don't disagree a revolution has begun. I just think ALL parties are in this fight, and the only losers will be incumbents. I don't see the BALANCE of seats changing dramatically.

And I also invoke the prayers of those who do so, that it will be a PEACEFULL revolution through the VOTE!!! .... which it seems to BE so far!

I WILL be extremely surprised, and I will  to Twilight and all others, IF this fall is a MAJOR sweep by the GOP. I believe the Party of NO will win a good number of available seats, but not enough to control the House with a majority. I don't think the Senate will change but by a few seats.

[However, even IF .... and it is possible.... that they should win the HOUSE, I don't think they will win the Senate, and therefore, the final judges control the legislation.]

I heard a "poll" within the last week or two, that said something like 70% of Americans trusted Obama to solve our problems over the GOP!!

HAD to be alot of Indies in there, but.... :smokin:

I wouldn't read too much into these votes as to who will be in Washington, they are just the Primary's, they aren't voting on who goes to Washington yet. Still possible you see a major shift in seats. These votes are just saying/showing that the incumbents, no matter what party are in trouble.

Perhaps, but it certainly is a signal that they did not act as representatives of the people they are supposed to represent. They're getting told that they did not do their jobs correctly.

I don't think it really matters which "party" they represent. Once they are sworen in and have their seat at the table, all the "Newb's" will be just like the incumbants.......greedy for their own gain. :angryblue:
