Default Hey Mal...

I was just up in your neck of the woods last night. Had to come across from Aberdeen, MD to pick up a load in Luke, MD. Didn't have time to look you up, being it delivered over south of Louisville this morning.

By the way, do you live east or west of that mandatory truck stop/scale area?

I live just off of I-79, just south of where I-68 ends at I-79 in Morgantown. The town is Fairmont. There's a small hole-in-the-wall truckstop there - K & T.

Been there. You don't get to see that one from the highway. But the food I had there wasn't too bad, as I recall. Sure beat the daylights out of a "fast-food joint". Folks had a sense of humor when I was cracking jokes too. They were matching me, one for one.

The restaurant there has changed hands a couple times in the past year. The newest ones took over a couple of months back, but I've only eaten there once since. The prior ones ran me off because of their poor service, way over-priced food and, well, the food was just plain nasty when I did get it.

Luckily, though, being local, I know of a much better place to eat just a mile or so from there. I'd tell you all about it, but I like having secrets (mainly just so I know I'll still have a parking place left).

I went to K&T once, because I heard you could find the A-Team there.

Now... I'm on a new quest.
I'd climb Mt. Shania relentlessly, if I just knew how to get to the base camp...
