T/A at Troutville, exit 150 off of I-81, or Petro in Glade Spring at exit 19 off of I-81.

I certainly don't miss them. I saw a guy who had IdleAire connected to his window a few days ago. I don't understand why he would have it connected if the company is out of business.

I'm at Love's in El Paso . . of the tubes that I can see, it looks like about half are missing the window unit. It doesn't look like a removal crew maybe made it just so far and then quit for the weekend. It looks a little too random for that.

I can't help but wonder . . are my otherwise honest and trustworthy highway associates taking them? Souvenirs, maybe? Should I grab one while the grabbin's good?

Are you sure they ever had it working in the first place? There's a truck stop somewhere that had it ripped out before the installation was complete. All that remains are the nubs of the sawed off concrete posts. That was quite awhile (many months) ago and I can't, for the life of me, remember where it was.

for what it's worth, i tried idleair once, i even got a gold memebership and all... but was very dissapointed. I don't smoke. As soon as i hooked it up, smoke filled my cab, and the truck smelled like i smoked in it for about 3 days after. I tried one more at a different location, same thing... i guess they never worked out these filter bugs... never used them again. lol

Ummmmmm......That was the answer I got, when I asked why they had such a huge section of the parking lot blocked off (they had barricades around 50% of the lot closest to the building) from truck parking.
A manager inside told me, when I asked, that they had just finished tearing down the "Idleair". That was the first time I had been into that Petro.

Now, think about it.

If someone does actually come up with something that is viable, after "Park-n-View", and "Idle-Aire", how is anyone going to convince them to try anything else?
