My name is Brian. I'm another CR England bailer. Acquired Class A CDL through them and I recently added the written tests phase for passenger endorsement to my resume. Behind the wheel pending. I have not driven class A level since 2010, after four solid months behind the wheel. I refused to fall for their lease scam so, they kept extending my training period. My last trainer had less time behind the wheel than I did. I'd like to 2nd seat for a while, either permanent or temporary, whatever I can to get some more experience and make some money. I left the towing industry for good, in February and have not been employed since. I've never been unemployed this long and my long professional driving experience and credentials discourages any potential employers not related to CDL. Things are getting desperate.

I've been lurking for a few weeks now while I research the pros and cons of buying a truck. My wife is very supportive but she worries a little ( we both do) about getting stuck on the road for weeks or months trying to cover the operating costs. It's been encouraging to find some success stories on here, especially in a bad economy. Hopefully I'll be able to determine what company and type of freight will work out best in the Michigan area and get things moving along within the next year or so. This forum seems to be a pretty good research spot.

Hi all. 50 yr old wannabee. Soon to be retiring from fed govt and have decided trucking is the second career choice for me. Been trying to read up and learn as much as I can. Would like to try flat bedding in order to keep myself in shape. I've been an old hand at my current job and to start something new like this is a litttle bit daunting. But I love this country and want to see more of it. I hope to contribute to the American way of life as a private sector employee for a change.

Hi, My name is Brenda, I'm new to the forum. I got my CDL last yr with a training company in UT. While in my first week of OTR training my Trainer fell asleep at the wheel and wrecked the truck while I was sleeping. I went home very hurt and disappointed. I was so scared to ride with someone else but even more affraid I was going to have to end my dream of being a BIG TRUCK DRIVER..lol. Recently I found an O/O that agreed to give me more training and the chance to get on with the company he hauls for, driving one of their trucks. So here I am, trying to get as much advice as possible and hoping that this will get me back on tract to an awesome career. Any advice will be very welcome. TY
