Default Dont text and drive!! Warning, very graphic!!

These are terrible terrible pictures BUT pictures say a thousand words!
DO NOT TEXT and drive............even talking on the phone can distract!!!

This guy was texting a friend when he crossed the center line!!!!

Adding some extra space in here to give an extra warning of the graphic nature of these pictures. ~Rev

More than likely his clothes tore apart in the wreckage. Considering how tightly he was pinned in the car (and the fact that he is in several pieces), it's not all that surprising that his clothes didn't stay intact.

For me, it's the third picture that's the most disturbing: the guy really was way over into the other lane. Sad.

Brings a whole new meaning to rollover minutes. Darwinism at its best. I feel bad for the truck driver. I'd probably retire after something like that.

How is it possible to show up at the scene of that gnarly accident and conclude just what caused that guy to travel over in that lane, look at that horrible mess, hard to believe a functional cell phone would even be able to be found in that mess. I am sure they can pull phone records and narrow down the time, I am just curious how you even begin to figure out just what the hell happened when you show up to that accident. That is one horrible thing to see. That is probably the worst accident i have ever seen pictures of.It's actually pretty amazing to look at the condition of what was formerly a car then to see the condition of the truck. That just proves the point that nobody wins a fight with a big truck.Wonder how the driver of the truck fared in the middle of all that?

jager, with any wreck, when a cop shows up a few things go thru their mind to check as to why it may have happened. Something like this, were they forced to move over for some reason and got smashed? That is where a witness could come in and solve that question. Were they simply not paying attention? Were they asleep? Were they on drugs? Autopsy and witness' can help with those. If they find a phone in the wreckage, they will instantly go pull the cell phone records to make sure they cover all bases.

Saw one almost that bad on southbound I-75 in FL. Just south of the Ocala scale, I was told J B Hunt was setting out his triangles when a 4-wheeler slammed into his ICC bumper, and pushed it to the trailer axle. Not sure just how they got the car out from under the back of the trailer. Two of the big wreckers could not pull them apart. The car went under the trailer far enough, the air-bag would have done no good at all. But, why on the shoulder, for cripe sake?

Or the DOT bear in GA that was stopped behind a mini-van, about 6 feet of grass between them and the pavement, with lights going... A full sized van rear-ended the DOT bear and made the about half as long as factory length. I never thought of "texting" as the cause in either case, but it sure could have been.

That is something. How sad. Amazing. but sad.
I see people sending text messages all the time, when they pass me. You can see them look down at their phone, and then look back up.
That was graphic, but it happened. It would be a good example to teach teens in their driving courses. My teenage neices, and nephews are constantly sending text messages.

A picture is worth a thousand words.
