She checked all those places, except online...the "for trucking" 7" TeleNav is specifically for trucking taking into consideration clearances, authorized truck routes, bridge weights etc....she wanted one for me that considered these, unlike standard GPS....so she went to a truck stop since she'd heard me talking about seeing one there....but...I also told her I didn't want to spend that kind of money on it...I'd survived 17 years out here without it and figured I could make it 3 more years til retirement without one.:lol: But....she loves me, what can I say...she saved for it.

I caught the promo on GPS yesterday that said something about GPS going black. The incinuation was that your GPS might not work. Has anyone heard anything about this? I wish that I could have seen the segment. I can't imagine GPS going black with so many in use.

Hello..............it's an atlas and I've got by for 29 years on just a stinkin map, but it's your money spend it as you want.
I don't need exspensive gadgets to get it to the customer.

My 2008 Truckers Atlas works wonders....but i also run dedicated so i go to alot of the same places....

i dont know about telenav using truck mapping.......ive got a HTC mogul also and never really used it but used it 3 days ago on wednesday and was coming down 77s in VA and it told me to get off exit 8(US52) and go down 52 instead of staying on 77...US52 is not a truck route.....

I have a Garmin 660 and it's a good tool to have but I don't rely on it solely. I call the shipper/receiver for the best truck route into their facility and use my atlas as well. Having said that the Garmin truck gps above looks interesting.
