Just because you can't do it, doesn't mean it can't be done.

I can prove it.

Just be there the next time I run into chain restrictions, I'll even supply the stop watch and throw in a cup of coffee since I'm such a nice guy.

And i'll let you use my truck and chains! BTW can you met me on the other side to take them off??
I've got a set hangin on the side of my truck but other than they go on the tires thats about all I know! But then again I stay in NY and our mountains are just speedbumps compared to Rockys

Thats fine and dandy when they say the road is open then you get going up the hill and there's a traffic stop for an hour without moving an inch (literally) on Donner then Caltrans comes around telling you to chain up. Then an officer comes by swearing the F word at you while you are chaining up telling you chain or they will call a tow truck, no parking (Keep in mind you're chaining up while he's going from truck to truck). Then you get Caltrans on their loudspeaker saying "You better chain up RIGHT NOW DUDE!" while you're on the passenger side throwing iron.

And I can ENTIRELY chain my trailer tires without rolling forward or backwards with real chains not cables. Who wants to call BS on that??!!
