We all have dreams at the tender young age of 18. Mine was to be Christy Canyon's Fluffer, instead I went to school for 6 years got degrees in Hospitality management and culinary arts busted my ass for the next 20 years only to end up driving a truck and making more then I did with my degrees, hmmmm... Not quite sure whats wrong with this picture but: it is what it is; just stay away from Food & beverage and do something that makes you happy most importantly find a job that you do not have to take home with you. Once you walk in the front door you must be able to leave work behind, can't stress enough the importance of that. Home life is first and foremost.....

I'm glad to be back myself! The reason I'm getting those two degrees is cause my ultimate dream is the run my own trucking company and plus you know how parents are they say go to college and get something to fall back on and I've always like crunching numbers and doing office work type stuff. But I sure wouldn't want to sit in a cubicle all day when I can be out on the road using my business skills to make money. My plan is to drive until I retire whenever that'll be and then used my degree(s) and broker my own freight or other carrier's freight. At least that is what I want to do anyway.

Twilight left because he took a new position within Heartland Express which limited his available time online.

Larry. I think I have a great idea! Let's start our own local trucking company!
We'll call it Double L/Belpre Local Trucking Company. I propose the following;

Double L: Owner, Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, President.............
Belpre122: Dispatcher/Supervisor (with an iron fist)
Jumbo: Employee motivator and company chef. (to mix the Kool-Aid)

We will start out with two trucks..........

Truck #1: GMAN and Golfhobo as drivers. (slip seat)
On this particular truck, we will pay a flat .25CPM rate as both GMAN and Golfhobo have no verifiable local experience. We will assign all shag runs to Truck #1, as both of these drivers have made it clear that CPM is a fair pay structure. Accordingly neither of these drivers of Truck #1 will expect to be paid for vehicle inspections, waiting at shippers/receivers, breakdowns, traffic jams, maintenance etc etc....... Larry, I feel strongly that we will make a large profit on this particular power unit, as it appears that both of these drivers are willing to work for next to nothing and perform many assigned duties for free. Thus, our profit margin will be astronomical!:smokin:

Truck #2: CFM and Jed as drivers:lol: (also slip seat)
Pay rate of $23.50 hourly. Overtime after 8 hours. Minimum of 8 hours for a call in. Entire benefits package to include vacations, personal days, 401k/pension, medical, dental and vision for starters. We will still profit from this truck, but will indeed share these profits with the drivers. (CFM and Jed) Employee harmony is important to any successful business venture. I feel that the chemistry between CFM and Jed will be a great asset to our company and customers. How can we go wrong?

Larry, please read through my proposal and let me know in the next couple of days. I really think that we might be on to something here!:smokin:
