i got to be honest, i don't understand how one gets banned. lbj or mike hunt...whatever his name is yeah, but he lasted a long time before anyone did anything...then blammed his name. he posted alot under that name. big d gets banned for being big d. colts fan and big jeep can personally attack people and companies but nothing gets done. what gives? are there any real rules or is it just willy nilly depending on the mood of the new mods? what can we do or not do? what are the guidlines? are there any? i have not seen anything unusual to see big d getting banned, why did he? maybe headborgs new site is right, some have posted there about the new mods here. i dunno, maybe some clarification would be nice.

 

Nope. You're wrong. He got banned when it was confirmed who he was (via IP searches). His name didn't help his cause, but was not the reason.

I guess the ban that big jeep got about a month ago slipped by you. As far as colts fan, nobody has reported any of his posts.

For violating the rules, even though he was given countless warnings. If you'd like further explanation beyond that, you'll have to get it from someone else, because I see no reason to air it on the open forum.

As far as what is happening behind the scenes, there is a reason it is behind the scenes. CAD, just like pretty much every other message board in existence, is not a democracy. Who stays and who goes is not put to a vote amongst the members. We do, however, ask for assistance in spotting the troublemakers by clicking on the "report this post" icon in the upper right corner of the post.

But just because you can't find the reason when you search the board doesn't mean the reason isn't there, or wasn't there at one point.

 

See how well that works? You report a post, and it's taken care of. I wish more people would do it.

Do you have a link or a name of "Headborgs" site. Would love to check it out, seems as though some individual on this message board are overly sensitive if you do not agree with them.

I clicked on the report post icon for Rev's 2:51 post. I was gonna just add the comment that I was "just kidding," but then I read the warning about when that function could be used. I didn't want to get banned for violating a rule, so I aborted my joke.

I can't say that I enjoy or condone your heavy handed manner of moderating this cluster fruck, but you ARE within your rights according to the "rules." And I DO appreciate that you take the time to explain yourself and answer the objections you receive and perceive.

I don't feel inclined to thank you (cuz it IS a thankless job.) And I sure as heck ain't gonna PAY you (cuz it's a "payless" job.... yes, Dobry... that's a word according to the owners of Payless Shoes.)
