West of 15 sucks in places, and you have to go a mile east of the strip to get in a crappy neighborhood.

Every town has a bad side. Syncro, go park at the EZ8 some night off 7th street

I'm moving to Henderson if I do. No state tax! Woo Hoo! But the weekend tourists jam it up pretty bad.
Ok you got me 2 blocks was a gross error on my part, you must go atleast 5 blocks to get to the real low lifes. I go to the races out there every year and we always try to find new/back ways to and from the track and boy it's not so nice in "most" parts of Las Vegas.

Also Henderson is really not a fair comparison, sorts like Compton and Malibu...

Got to agree. It is Crook...err Cook county thing for the most part. There are the fair share of downstate crooks too, but most of those have long, long ties to the Chicago area politicos.

A few buddies and I were just talking this past weekend about this type of thing and one of them came up with the idea that Illinois should be split into 2 states with I 80 being the border.

I like this quote:

Robert Grant, special agent in charge of the FBI's Chicago office, characterized Illinois' place in the pantheon of political corruption.

"If it isn't the most corrupt state in the United States, it's certainly one hell of a competitor," Grant said. And Fitzgerald, whose office also prosecuted Blagojevich's predecessor, said Blagojevich's "conduct would make Lincoln roll over in his grave."
