I tell ya...here in northwest Texas, we've had either ice or snow on a weekly basis since Christmas. How often does that happen in Texas? :hellno: It was a dag gum blizzard last night in Lubbock.
Global Warming is upon us.
Amarillo, and the rest of the panhandle is nasty, from what I've heard.
I've always been told that the only thing between Amarillo and the North Pole is a barb wire fence.

Now now - the proper term is Global Climate Change. It's no longer referred to as Global Warming. I'm pretty sure the planet has been going through climate changes for the past few BILLION years before humans even existed, though

after last weekends song and dance the Gov. of Virgina has already declared a state of emergency for this weekends storm. Expecting up to 18inches plus ice in the Shennandoah Valley. Oh boy......cant wait to drive in it. Or at least park in it.

Seems like I heard someone say something about Global Climate Change on the news the other day. I didn't know what they meant, but now I know. Thanks. I wonder why the change?

Yes, the climate changes all the time. Always has. Here in Texas, it changes sometimes on a daily basis. It could be 75 degrees in the mid-afternoon, and snowing the very next morning. :hellno:

Yeah, but just imagine all that quivering cameltoe, and proud nipples at Spring Break 2010, because of the chilly weather.

I gotta get down to Corpus Christi.

Tomorrow (Friday) looks to be like a fun day... I unload just north of Baltimore in the morning, then pick up and head for Fairmont, WV. They originally said the storm was supposed to start Friday afternoon. Not now. The storm warnings for Fairmont, Grantsville MD & Baltimore all start at 6am now.

The weird part is that they're calling for more snow in Baltimore than in Grantsville.

Fairmont: 8-10"
Grantsville: 10-14"
Baltimore: 18-24"

I just hope I don't have any problems and can get across I-68 early... After I park the truck, I could care less if we get 4 feet of the crap. I already had the wife pick up beer, cigs and snacks to get us through the weekend.

You guys are lucky, my area just got warned for 28+ inches, closer you get to the mountains the more you will see. Fredericksburg is looking at 24-28 inches.

I was talking with a driver at USA Truck last night. He was on his way to Danville to deliver this morning. He was more than worried about what they're calling for down there.
