I actually had a good Thanksgiving. Even though, it was for a weekend...

For those that are not aware, I run line-haul for SYSCO, Lubbock, Tx. I drive from Wichita Falls (Tx) to Lubbock, 5 nights a week. I've been at SYSCO for nearly 6 years.
My mom is originally from Ft. Smith, Ar. My dad's family live in Ft. Worth. We have always gone to Arkansas for Thanksgiving, and we alternate Christmas every year.
Since I have worked here, I havent spent Thanksgiving with my family. I am off the night before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, but we run Thanksgiving night, and Christmas night, etc..(that's if Christmas is on a week day) Since I have been working here, we have been spending Christmas morning here at home.
In the years past, I've always just stayed home the weekend after Thanksgiving. My wife, and my son went with my folks, Wednesday afternoon. (this year) I worked Thanksgiving night, and I got home around 2:00, Friday morning. I decided to go up to Ft. Smith for the weekend. I thought about leaving, after I got off from work, but I didn't know if I could pull that off. I was pretty tired when I got home. It's a 5 hour drive from here to Ft. Smith. I remember when I was a kid, and the speed limit was 55. Man, it took forever! I set my alarm for 8:00, Friday, and I left for Ft. Smith. I came home yesterday morning, so I could run last night.

Anyway, I got to see the family (with the exception of my grandparents-they are deceased) and I got to see some good football games, and still got to eat pies, cakes and stuff.
