goodbye and good riddance to my CDL
#11
I received my CDL-A in Iowa in 6/2005. I transferred it back to Indiana in 10/2005. I had to re-take all written tests, to include the Indiana basic operator's test. Thankfully, I didn't have to repeat a skills test.
I have read numerous articles about fake CDLs, etc., from Illinois.....particularly in the Chicago area. So it doesn't surprise me that the State of Illinois has cracked down so hard. Well kreeper, your post is very indicative of just how important your CDL really was to you. Not very, obviously. Although I certainly wouldn't have liked it, I definitely would have taken the necessary steps to preserve my CDL...........which is my livelihood. That you chose to "shred" your CDL, then feel then need to come to this board and "fall on your sword" tells me at the very least, that you probably don't possess the level of maturity and self discipline necessary to be successful in the trucking industry to begin with. This is all probably for the best anyways. Without further adieu, I bid you farewell.

Kreeper Quote "which is bogus"
When i moved to Illinois, I had to take the written test, to get their state cdl, but not the driving test. And everying was fine. Got work in Belvidere, Il. fairly easy too. I been back to Califorina, did the same written tests, and now have the Ca cdl again. Bought my own truck. It dos'nt matter how many times you move. Or where a guy move's to. Something ain't right. Something is wrong with your record...eh Then of course, your going to have those kinds of problems. having to beg for a trucking job and having to redo the driving test. read one of your posts about playing Trukz, had two player's at the same time and even they Banned You. You got to play by life's rules, not make them up as you go along. Something's can never be redone, remade, relived.....

Something is definitely missing here, and unless there is something on your record that would keep the state from issuing you a license (tickets, suspensions), or you got one of the "fake" ones that another poster brought up, seems like all you would have to do is take the written tests and pay the fess. But if you already gave up and shredded you license then so long... one less driver to compete with for a job.
