Well everyone told me to stay home, dont do the OTR deal you have 2 small ones at home and there is more important things at home then running the road, well I see it how, so I'm looking for something local or home every weekend ( the whole weekend) I have 8 months otr and 7 months local, does anyone have any ideas on any companies out there? I live around the Dallas, Tx area.

Ummmm....Haven't we been down this road before?? Search out the old threads, and re-read the companies that were suggested then.

If I read your post correctly, you have 15 months experience. Find the nearest FedEX terminal, and ask the drivers if there are any contractors there that need a driver. I THINK 1 year is the minimum requirement they need, and MANY of them have a dedicated run that will get you home nightly.

Food service (Sysco, Gordon, US Foods, ext.)... they are always looking for drivers, possible $1000/wk - but you'll earn every penny! (voice of experience)

Southeastern (like most of the LTL carriers) requires one year exp and hazmat/doubles. The one in Nashville pays $19/hr straight time (no overtime.) for their P&D drivers - home nights and weekends.

Give SYSCO Dallas a call. (800) 347-1626.
You might check the Dallas Morning News/Ft Worth Star Telegram.
If you have, or can get your HAZMAT, you might look into the LTL freight companies.
There are bookoos of local driving jobs around the metromess..

Go to the federal website and pull up all the carriers in your state. The phone numbers will also be listed when you pull up their name. All you need to is start making phone calls. You might want to see who the mail carrier is in your area. FedEx, UPS and a few others would be a good start.
