Pre Pass
#11
I had heard rumors of a per use system and at 8+ trips a day it could get pricey. I like the idea of flat rate...looks like I am gonna join the modern trucking revolution. Heck My next truck might even be an automatic

Another company truck and I had a interesting experiment today. We both have same prepass and out of 5 scales we crossed twice he got red light and once I did. One scale he got no light and I got a green. Same size loads and very similar trucks. Just was odd.

When I first got Pre-Pass they charged every time you got a green light. I believe it was $0.90. It wasn't supposed to charge if they pulled you in or the scale was closed. I got charged on a few occasions when the scales were closed. These days I think everyone is on a flat rate each month. The price will vary from company to company. I think they based it on how many units you have in your fleet. The more trucks you have the less expensive. |
