That too was not my intentions.
I guess I was thinking the "what happened to thread" was my responsibility, since I felt I screwed up like I did.

Much of what you have said to me could easily have been said in a PM as well Rev. Are you sure you are trying to help me along as a new mod, or are you relishing in finding fault?

 

Nah. Somehow, I have a feeling there probably wouldn't have even been one. Just a hunch. I just see threads like this as a way for people to get a slam in on someone they don't like who is unable to respond. It basically comes down to a cheap shot, even if it wasn't intended as such.

It sure could have, and if I would have had an issue with his posts disappearing, you can be sure that's where it would have been. As it was, I neither noticed, nor cared that the posts were gone.:wink:

The :twisted: side of me wants to say "both", but to be honest, it is more of an issue of the whole "new sheriff in town" thing. CAD has become the #1 trucking related website, finally beating out Truck.net, who has held that distinction for longer than I can even remember. CAD is currently generating twice the traffic that Truck.net is. That's huge. And there's a reason for it. People come here for information and conversation, and there are countless people here that are more than willing to provide both. Each of those "personalities" adds to the overall community. Now you've been hired to be the local law enforcement of that community. Removing someone from the community should be a last resort. I just haven't seen anything as of late that has ground CAD to a screeching halt that would constitute removing the offenders. By removing "personalities" from the community, you are removing part of what has made this the best place on the net not only trucking information, but for casual conversation between peers.

That's my $0.02. I know it's probably not worth even that much, but I really feel strongly that when it comes to "strong-arm" moderation, less is more.

 

No need to apologize Roadhog there will always be people questioning <sp> you in this line of work just ignore it and get on with moderating and don't worry about what anyone thinks.

this is how i want to be banned. quietly in my sleep, no fanfare, maybe some soothing music in the background, some roses on the table, a glass of wine, low lights. nice and peaceful.

The funny thing is that I didn't see LBJ insult any individual on this board and I hardly think that you erasing all his posts was a mistake.

Ignore them bro, if they were a mod they would do the samething, hell I would have banned him too cause he NEVER had a good thing to say except maybe a time or two.
