Watching the TV, they have live coverage from Houston on DirecTV going on it's own channel just up from Weather Channel. Bad bad bad pics coming in already. Take care Stan, the weather folks are straight talking and the talk isn't pretty.

I'm hiding over here to the east, in Lafayette LA. Getting some TS wind bands..but not Hurrycane force ones. Spotty rain as well.

Gotta love that "100 year flood" designation, especially when it happens every 7 to 15 years.

Actually...I don't ever hear of to much flooding in West Texas...not a lot of major rivers over there.

Only Reason it floods here is becuase the damn ground is so hard from the sun baking us..

The last real flood I seen here was in 1990 or 91, other than that we had a little last year.

Everyone freaked out for nothing...it did rain a lot...but it hasn't rained again since early Friday morning. The schools my kids go to were shut down Friday. A little bit of flash flooding. But, GOD, it's humid and steamy hot now!!!

I'm in Illinois and early this morning I woke up to pouring rain with strong winds. It felt like I was in a hurricane, it wasn't the typical Midwest storm thats for sure!
