Default Favorite music

Just curious is to what is y'all favorite music?

70's, 80's, and 90's R&B. I also love listening to southern soul blues which new combination of soul and blues. I'm not sure how long it's been around but it's some pretty great music!

IMHO, with few exceptions, the only difference between rap and crap is the letter "C".

My music tastes depend on my mood. I enjoy 60-80's rock, 70-current country and classical.

heavy, death, and black metal. electronic dance music ranging anywhere from 120 - 180bpm (beats per minute). 70's funk is also quite good to jam along the highways to. 80's synth-pop is another one of my favorites. smooth and uptempto jazz are others, too. when it comes to rap, i am only into the stuff that came out between 1982 and 1994.

I use to listen to rap all the time but it seems like all this new rap that is out recently is all about money and it doesn't require talent anymore!

that's because it doesn't. all you gotta have is some type of scar that can either pass off as a stab wound or gun shot, and claim to be a gangster. i listen to the old skool stuff because it was actually about stuff that mattered rather than cars, money, hoes, and jewelry, and "crank dat".

I agree big time! The best rap album still is Dr Dre's Chronic! But yeah man I can't stand that Soulja Boy, all the white kids like him and he says his music is friendly but schools won't play it cause they feel it's offensive.

that's because the song is offensive. its lyrics are nothing but slang terms for vile stuff i wouldn't dare to any woman. especially a certain lady who shall remain nameless.

I didn't know that and yet all the white kids when they hear get up and start singing and dancing to it! Seriously rap is being aimed towards white people and that is who is listening and buying a majority of the albums and stuff! It's pitiful and that is why I don't like it anymore.
