Darlin...
I was first gonna say...how lucky she was to get to play with Jeff Beck. But really...how lucky Jeff got to play with Tal. She sure has that Jazzy style...and she is amazing. Never heard of her before. I looked her up on Wikipedia; "She has impressed critics and fans alike with musical achievements usually reserved for players with relatively long established careers. Tal became a professional bassist after only three years on the instrument." My impressions of a bass player are generally much more reserved, and don't get me started on drummers. __________________________________________________ ___ Q: What happened when the bassist locked his keys in his car? First, she reads the mind of the lead guitarist: "Wow, look at all the cute chicks who showed up tonight! Good crowd!" Then the drummer: "Lots of people showed up tonight...Great! we're going to make good money tonight" Then the Keyboard player: "All three of these guys have no appreciation of my talent...What a bunch of losers" Finally, the Bass player: "C...G...C...G..." How do you make a bass player turn down the volume? Put sheet music in front of him.

Tal is real good.
I listen to classic rock of course, classic country, folk (Dylan, Prine, ect.), modern folk (Todd Snider). Also Leon Russell, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jim Croce, the ever-adorable Nancy Griffith, John Hiatt, and of course "Willie, Waylon, and the boys." Bruce Springsteen's non-radio stuff (like "Atlantic City" and the "Devils and Dust" album.) Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson... this list could go on forever.
