Default The media makes me sick

I was watching MSNBC and they was talking about a chase involving a pick up truck and they kept calling him a truck driver! IT'S A PICK UP TRUCK and doesn't make him a truck driver. :x

Try and forgive their obvious ignorance to the facts..... :? All media does it, they sensationalize everything they can in order to get the ratings and outdo one another.

At least it is better than the girl from NBC's Washington station who believes that 28 degrees is above freezing. She seriously did a live broadcast about 2 winters ago out on the road with a thermometer in hand and I quote, "As you can see it is 28 degrees out here right now and while it is still well above freezing the roads are fairly dangerous at the moment." The 2 newscasters in the studio were dumbstruck when she threw it back to them.

No, actually she is black but sometimes I think she is blonde with some of her on-air comments.

TV and all media is more and more an Insane Asylum.

You have spin, bias, out right lies, hype, and rating based agenda crap to filter through or your typical "set up" interviews and low grade drama. :?

It is getting very hard to learn anything with the media...whether it is about a candidate running for election, or a current event involving anything from A-Z. Newspapers and magazines are just as bad as TV. It is increasingly difficult to NOT end up with your head filled with slush.

No question why we are becoming more filled with apathy. We are doomed. That is my assessment, and I approve this message.

BY FEB.2009....YOU WILL NEED A BS CONVERTER ON YOUR TV

Here's a funny news story about truckers going around the Texas weigh stations- if you watch the video, you'll see the texas drivers they question are in CARS... there is ONE trucker they talk to. The guy was probably scared to talk to any truckers (or, more likely, he didn't get any good sound bites!).

Truckers Avoid Weigh Stations By 'Dodging The Scales'

I don't think they have the video up on the site anymore, though.

I've never seen the media let "facts" get in the way of a good story!! I worked in a Maximum Security State Prison for 11 years. It always gets me when the media states that there is a "prison break" when in fact a trustee walked off from a local jail or county jail. The two are not even close in their security levels!!!
