HE HAS VOTED CONSISTENTLY FOR BIGGER GOVERNMENT AND HIGHER TAXES.
HE HAS VOTED FOR BIG ENTITLEMENTS AND LEGISLATION THAT WOULD SEVERELY CURTAIL AMERICA'S ABILITY TO FIGHT TERRORISM AND TO PROTECT OUR BORDERS
AND OUR NATIONAL INTERESTS AROUND THE WORLD.
BUT, HE IS A GOOD ORATOR. ISN'T THAT A COMFORT?
YEAH, I THINK I SEE HOW WELL HE COULD UNITE THE COUNTRY.
I THINK THE TRUTH IS THAT HE HOPES NO ONE WILL PUT THE PIECES TOGETHER.

Roses; Am not sure about commenting on this being I am an outsider, BUT I think you also need an outsiders point of view.

So, at the risk of being attacked, etc here goes...

This man scares the hell out of the rest of the world.

Whether the US likes it or not, YOU are the world's policeman. The US is the ONLY country with enough clout to stand up to the wack jobs out there. The rest of us, & yes, I include Canada in this, are a bunch of whooses that can't defend ourselves.

Our liberal governments have decimated our militaries & have turned our citizens into a bunch of pansies who think everyone can be "fixed" by talking to them. Nobody has the balls to stand up & be counted anymore.

It is my strong opinion that something HORRIBLE is going to happen right before your election in the fall. There is too much "sabre rattling" going on between Iran & Isreal these days & I personally think Isreal is going to do something before Mr. Bush leaves office, because they don't want to take the chance that Mr. Obama will be your next president. Even THEY don't trust him.

This is an extremely dangerous world we live in, & we are not only being attacked from without, but from within as well. And the biggest trouble is that we are all so busy with our own lives to notice what is going on.

Have you noticed how extreme the liberal views are now? And how truly ugly they get if you disagree with them? Have you noticed they NEVER answer a question? They have their "talking points" & that's what they stick to.

I'm not sure where I sit politically, tho I definitely lean right, there are some issues I definitely sit on the fence about, but mostly I sit squarely in the "middle", I suppose you would call me a strong "independent".

I don't pretend to understand your political system, but I most certainly pay close attention to it. The fate of the whole world depends on you guys whether you like it or not.

God help us all if your citizens don't get that.

 

 

I see a conflict of information here. I have other information that he was a Muslim for 41 years, until his wife influenced him to change and seek higher office. At the same time, the other information I have says he was "close" to the the "reverend" and the church. (Personally, I think I'd put more trust in his "ATHEIST" mother.)

But, what I really do find interesting... In all my travels around the country, I have YET to meet one person that truly supports him. I either find those that have not made up their minds, or those that are terrified of him. I want to know just who is supporting him. He has got to have some kind of support or he would not be where he is, but I can not find them. Those of us that actually work for a living easily outnumber those that do not. All we need to do is go to the polls and vote this year, and we can put ANYONE in office that WE want. There has to be more than a thousand of us to each one of them.

And, how old is he? Also, he has stated he didn't know that the Reverend Sharpton had extremist (whacko) views. Maybe if he was actually a practicing Muslim, he would not have paid any attention when he was in church. But then again, from what I'm hearing from various quarters, maybe he really doesn't pay much attention to anything, anytime.-

 

I read an article the other day that talked about how the fighting in Iraq has decreased and how that country is finally starting to stabilize. I wonder how much of that is due to our actions over there and how much is due to extremists simply backing down and biding their time until after our elections in November and the next president takes office in January knowing full well that if elected Obama is going to start immediate troop withdrawals.

It is my opinion that if Obama is elected we are going to be in a world of hurt. I firmly believe that we are going to see a region wide destabilization in the middle east, and increase in the fighting, and a major increase in terrorist attacks world wide.

Whether or not you are in agreement with the US going into Iraq and/or Afghanistan in the first place a person would need to be blind not to see that we need to stay until the job of stabilization is done in those countries.

Unfortunately we have a lot of "blind" people living here.

Our elections seem to be more of a popularity contest anymore rather than who can do the job the best.

It is amazing to me that he could have over 50 years of extremist religious beliefs in his mere 47 years on this planet...he must be really extreme. Or a time bender :roll:

 

When Obama can explain to me how you can be Christian and support Abortion and Gay Marriage then I will believe he is a Christian. No one is a perfect Christian and I believe hate the sin not the sinner but the bible is very clear on these two subjects.

Dont believe everything you read on the internet, see on TV, or hear on talk radio.

JUST CHECK HIS VOTING RECORD OR LACK THEREOF. All the politically dangerous votes he abstains from or is absent.

Bush aint perfect but at least he is consistent and sticks to what he says and believes in, only time will tell if he is right.

Abortion, sure enough Exodus 21:22-25

It also says that interracial marriage is wrong Deuteronomy 7:3-4

How about keeping slaves? Leviticus 25:44-45

How about shaving? Leviticus 19:27

How about putting children to death for disrespecting thier parents? Leviticus 20:9

Or are we only picking and choosing the parts of the Bible we wish to follow?

Why not discuss McCain's divorce from his horribly disfigured wife to then marry his Mistress? Or his multiple extramarital affairs?
