Oklahoma Declares Sovereignty

"STATE OF OKLAHOMA 2nd Session of the 51st Legislature (2008) HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 1089 By: Key AS INTRODUCED A Joint Resolution claiming sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over certain powers; serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates; and directing distribution."

Oklahoma didn't declare that they're seceding, or anything of the sort - it sounds like they just want the federal government to butt out.

I think New York should secede, too. But then that would call for independent thinking. Perhaps we should have Washington DC to secede.
This movement is GREAT!! I have no doubt that the U.S. government will come down hard on these people and states should this start to get grass roots support. It should be a wake up call to the "powers that be."

California doesn't need to secede....it just needs to be treated like Mexico. Drop yard in Reno and Bullhead City and they can come get their own damn freight!
