Default Where's the BEST pecan pie-- found?

I was recently "up north" and was told pecan pie was "out of season"-- couldn't find any until I got back below the Mason-Dixon Line....so my question is--- where can a driver find the best warm pecan pie along the highway--- preferably with cinnamon-vanilla ice cream?

Don't know about pecan pie, but I can tell you that the very BEST lemon pie is not even in the USA. The BIG IRVING TRUCKS TOP in Pembroke, Ontario, along hwy 17 in Canada. (lemons match my personality, you know) The best broasted chicken is at the "51 TRUCK STOP" north of Wausau, WI, and just south of Merrill, WI on hwy 51. The best sausage is at the ABBEYLAND TRUCK STOP at Curtis, WI and should be about exit 127 of hwy 29. The best cheese, and cheese curds, are not at any truck stop I've found. Mullin's Cheese in knowlton, WI on Lake DuBay.

Can't say that I've looked that hard for pecan pie, though.

I might check out that chicken next time I'm up that way...but I ant going to Canada for nothing.. don't like lemon pie anyway... key lime is different story.

What kind of sausage? in Curtis, Wi

Anyone got a line on the Best BBQ? with 18wheel access?

and don't say the "BBQ Man" in N. Little Rock, AR -- yes, his BBQ is good but who wants to be "hustled" for a $10 shoe shine for a $5.00 pair of swade shoes.

The best bbq I had was at Kiwanis. They set up a trailer by the Walmart in Wood River, IL and boy is it good, they have pulled pork and their sauces have a kick to them! 8)
