Default ExxonMobil hiring.

ExxonMobil sent me a letter today, inviting me to register at their career web-site, www.exxonmobil-employment.com

They are looking for plant & field operators, mechanics, instrument and electrical technicians. Both experienced and entry-level personel are strongly encouraged to test; prior experience in the oil and gas industry IS NOT a pre-reguisite.

Just thought some might be interested.

Oh yeah..the letter came from the Human Resources department. I already know a couple folks over there...and they think I should test and apply...even though I am 51 next month. Lydia thinks I can do quite well working offshore.   8)

Exxon Mobile can't be hurting too bad for employees because they made $123 billion in profits last year!

They are looking to hire a ton of new employee's, to replace the upcoming wave of retirements. ExxonMobil will train, and they are willing to hire folks in their mid-50's.

Everybody............let me repeat that EVERYBODY in the oil/gas industry is hiring somwhere in the world.

I made the jump a little over 2 years ago and never looked back.........grossed a tad over 55k last year and worked 6 months

I am land based though........I have aquaintances working off-shore making way more than 55k with comparable work schedules.

Might as well try and share in those billions than sit on the sideline and beeyotch about it 8)
